Have you tried changing your mindset, and it’s just not working? Maybe you’ve tried to be more mindful, think differently, or behave differently. And yet, your feelings are taking over. No matter the lifestyle changes, you still feel anxious, sad, lonely, or like nobody will understand you. And, your body is reactive – you feel body sensations like chest tightness, adrenaline, sweaty palms, light headedness – the list goes on. I work with people who want to feel better not just in the mind, but also in the body.
When I am working with you, I focus on your feelings and body sensations. I’ve seen deep change happen when the body does the talking. I will work with you on showing up to session as you are, mitigating the urge to be performative or “pleasing” as a client. These sessions are not about my agenda: they are about your needs, which are identified by you. If you don’t know what you need, that’s okay. I will help you find your voice.
I am a certified Brainspotting clinician, which is an evidence-based approach for trauma. I also incorporate somatic techniques, Parts-Work, and mindfulness meditation.
